Triaditis in Cats

Triaditis describes a pattern in which three neighbouring organs in a cat's abdomen—the pancreas, the liver and its bile ducts, and the small intestine—become inflamed at the same time. The anatomy in cats means these structures sit very close together and share connections, so inflammation beginning in one area can spread to involve the others. It is one of the reasons a cat may show signs that seem vague or difficult to pinpoint. Owners often notice a cat becoming quieter, eating less, or losing weight over weeks to months, though some cats show more sudden changes.
